Frequently Asked Questions:
What does “Instant Access” mean?
As soon as you purchase the course, you will be sent access details to the course materials, course website and Vimeo and Facebook groups. You can start today and learn at a pace that suits you.
I’m not in the UK, can I join the class?
The course price is in £GBP but as payment is through PayPal you should be able to access it from any country. You can use this currency converter to calculate the course price as a guide although PayPal will use its own conversion so it may vary.
You can connect with other course members through the private discussion group and by commenting on their photos in the Vimeo group – time zones will not limit us!
I want to buy a place for someone else, do you do gift certificates?
Yes! You can buy a gift certificate for any of our courses on the gift certificate page (you can also pin our subtle picture if you’re wishing for one!).
I’ll be away / I am very busy; will this be a problem?
Not at all. We have designed the course for busy people. You can work through the lessons totally at your own pace. The assignments are designed to fit in with a busy life and can be done at any time. Access to the course will be open indefinitely, so work at your own pace.
How do you manage privacy and photo sharing?
We are sensitive to the fact that not everyone wants to share pictures of their children. The group video sharing takes place in a private Vimeo group where you can use an alias rather than you name if you prefer. Photos will only be seen by group members who are past, present (or future) members of the course. If you’d prefer not to share photos that’s absolutely fine, it’s not a requirement.
How much time will I need to spend on the course?
You can spend as much or as little time as you want. There will be prompts and assignments but what you do with them, or when, is up to you. You might have more time to take pictures at the weekend or find that you have more time one week than another. All of that is fine; the course is flexible because we know life isn’t
Will you give me feedback on my pictures?
No. The instant access courses do not have a feedback element from The Kats. You will be able to get feedback from other course members past and present via the Vimeo group – this is for past, present and future members of the course. The course will also have a students only Facebook group for discussion. If you have a specific technical question, Kat and Kat can be reached via email or in the course Facebook group.
Should I have got a welcome email?
You should get redirected to the class welcome page as well as recieving a confirmation email with all of the info you need to log in.
Will you be running a real time session again?
If there is enough interest, we will be running a live course next Spring. Drop us a line to let us know you are interested!
